The Most Popular Cars In This Year



The company of buying and selling cars, Cars.com released the list of most popular cars in this year. In their list, out of 10 cars, none of them are made by the United States and Europe. Nine Japanese manufacturers dominate the most popular cars, particularly Toyota and Honda. The other is Hyundai, the South Korean automobile manufacturer.

As quoted by VIVAnews.com, Monday, December 27, 2010, Cars.com states that the rating is based on the number of new car reservations recorded from January until towards, the end of this year. Here are the most popular cars in 2010:

1.Toyota Prius

Toyota launched the Prius in Japan in 1997, and it began to be exported to the United States and Europe in 2000. Now the world’s best-selling hybrid car is already sold more than 2 million units. Prius accounts for more than 70 percent of total sales of Toyota hybrid car.

2. Honda Accord

Honda had been redesigned the Accord sedan several years ago. Redesign includes all styles, whether the interior and also the exterior. The rear seat is redesigned with more spacious. There are more standard safety features, and more powerful engine, including a choice of V-6 that is sophisticated and fuel efficient. Accord competitor is the Nissan Altima and Toyota Camry.

3. Honda CR-V

Honda launched CR-V in 1997. The launch made a new market, the compact class sporty utility vehicle. This time, many new entrants are in this market, such as the Toyota RAV4 and Chevrolet Equinox.

4. Toyota Camry

Camry which is circulating in this year is the fourth generation. Toyota has changed a number of styles, to update the development of the Camry. There are more standard safety features. High-tech four-cylinder engine is making it more fuel efficient. This time, version of the hybrid is available.

5. Toyota RAV4

Toyota RAV4 is a sporty compact utility vehicle that can accommodate seven people. RAV4 is equipped with the latest all-wheel drive (AWD). Competitors this car are Honda CR-V and Ford Escape.

6. Honda Civic

Honda Civic is a compact sedan that stays between the lines of medium hatchback Jazz and Accord sedan. This car competes with the Toyota Corolla, Hyundai Elantra and Nissan Sentra. Civic is currently available in regular and hybrid engines.

7. Toyota Corolla

In the international market, the Corolla is available in variants Base, S, LE, XLE, and XRS. Competitors of this car are Chevrolet Cobalt, Ford Focus, Mazda3 and Honda Civic.

8. Honda Odyssey

Honda minivan offers the comfort and convenience of up to eight passengers. This car offers four variants, the LX, EX, EX-L, and Touring. Odyssey minivan competes with the Toyota Sienna, Dodge Grand Caravan, and Hyundai Entourage.

9. Toyota Tacoma

Tacoma is Toyota pick-up marketed in the U.S. Tacoma uses two engine options, namely V-6, 4,000 cc and 2700 cc 4-cylinder engine. This car is available in single and double cabin.

10. Hyundai Sonata

Hyundai Sonata is a medium sedan that competes with the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, and Ford Fusion. Sonata was redesigned for 2011 model with a more elegant touch.
