You might think, Skoda is the brand, Volkswagen took over to make dull, boring cars for uninteresting people. Well, partly at least this theory holds ground. Skoda has been making dull cars in the past. However, in India the Octavia and Laura have flourished as premium cars unlike the rest of the world. Skoda’s of the past have been ‘just some cars’ full stop.
Since, the new Laura came along, its easier to notice that Skoda designers have had a go at changing the brands image. The current Laura is ages ahead of what used to be a dull boxy design. Up till now, all that the Honda Civic had to worry about was a utterly uninteresting Laura. Now though, all is about to change.
It seems, Skoda designers have finally arrived in the 21st century. The new Laura looks superb, er, I mean exquisite. The new car is longer and wider by 60mm and 40mm respectively. The new Laura will come with most of the latest gizmos and toys and next generation powertrains. If you think, Honda Civic looks futuristic, the new Laura can certainly be a G.I.Joe’s ride.
