Toyota Motor prepares to introduce new models of hybrid cars



Toyota Motor, the biggest automaker in Japan, prepares to launch six new models of hybrid cars this year.

According to the company, they are offering an option for hybrid for each car they will manufacture by 2020.

Toyota is hoping that this type of car will get the opportunity to stand out at the North American International Auto Show that will be held in Detroit in January 15.

For now, the company also said that it has huge plans for its vehicles that are eco-friendly. Keisuke Kirimoto, the spokesperson of Toyota, told the New York Times that the consumers are going to finally settle on what type of vehicle they want to drive.

In addition, along with the greatly predictable cars to be revealed at the auto show in Detroit is the Prius V of Toyota, the bigger version of the original hybrid car of the company. Prius V is the off-the-rack hybrid car in the world. It can runs and accelerates at low speeds on batteries and an electric motor.

The company will also launch the latest addition to the lineup of Prius V at the auto show. The Consumer Reports’ Car Brand Perception Survey in 2011 picked Toyota as the most environmentally green and friendly company of vehicles.

Furthermore, the company also plans to stay with the auto technology of the hybrid cars and leave all the electric cars to Nissan and General Motors (GM). The Nissan introduced the Leaf, while the GM launched that Volt this year.

Moreover, Nissan as one of the main competitor of Toyota in Japan called its new electric vehicle that is powered by battery as the preliminary off-the-rack and all-electric vehicle in the world. On the other hand, GM is claiming an advance with its Volt, a hybrid car that has plug-in and runs on rechargeable batteries for up to 50 miles before the engine of the gasoline kicks in.
